THE BEAD
EIGHT FACED RUDRAKSH is described im mantramaharnav as mahasen and vinayak, which are names for bhagwan kartikeya and shri Ganesh. As per Rudrakshjabalopanishad, this bead is the representation of eight mothers.It is dear to ashtavasuon and is the home of goddess Ganga. Thus the wearer of this bead enjoys the blessings of eight mothers, ashtavasuon and goddess Ganga.
In shrimadhyevibhagwat, this is said to represent vinayak. As per padampuran, this bead is the abode of both kartikeya and ganesh. Therefore, this eight faced bead represents kartikeya, ganesh, ashtamatrgun (eight mothers), ashtvasugun and ganga.
THE POSITIVES
In padampuran, lord shiva has explained the positives of this rudraksh. The lord says, :-
- The wearer of this magial bead is never foolish in any of his janams. He is never prone to fickle minded excitements.
- The wearer enjoys unhindered growth in all his efforts.
- The wearer becomes adept in writing related skills.
- All activities begun by the wearer are always blessed by the positive influence shem (mangal).
- All sins that originate from activities like mixing truth and false while speaking, hitting with a stick, using unfair means, touching wife of guru while paying respects, are nullified by the wearing of this bead.
- The wearer gets the blessings of all three gods - brahma, vishnu and mahesh and leads a life of highest order possible.
