One Faced Rudraksh is representative of Lord Shiva. As per Hindu religion, the biggest sin of all is Brahm Hatya or Brahman Killing. One Faced Rudraksh is so powerful that it is said to nullify all the sins the wearer has ever committed. It completely purges one from the sin of brahm hatya. One Faced Rudraksh is very rare. It is believed from time immemorial that when a ripe fruit bearing a one faced rudraksh falls to the ground, it straight away goes to the ' paataal lok ' or the world under the ground. For this reason also, one can find sadhu's and rishi's meditating under the Rudraksh tree in the hope that they shall be blessed with the pious bead falling into their lap.

Sometimes a two faced rudraksh is also tampered to make it look like the real ek mikhi. They have been so perfectly crafted that it is difficult to make out whether it is genuine or not. When you come across a one faced rudraksh in the market, there is a 99% chance that it is a fake.
